A direct protest of fishermen in front of the building of the Executive Agency for Fisheries and Aquaculture in Bourgas.
They argued that they would block roads for southern Black Sea resorts if the Ministry of Agriculture fulfilled its plan to introduce a 60-day ban on catching of white clam.
The fishermen's proposal is for the ban to be in force only for the mussel during the spawning period.
The reason for the protest was also the idea of including a large part of the fishing areas in the register of NATURA 2000 protected areas. According to them, this will lead to the elimination of the fishing industry in our country.
