The first half of the year - from January to June was the most successful season of '90 onwards.
This was announced by Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova in Sozopol, during the nomination of the town for the best European destination.
Tourists are more than 3 million, which is 15% growth in the first half, as June was very strong everywhere - 28% growth, which was 1.1 million tourists, added the minister.
Just for Bourgas region the tourists are around 0.5 million only for June, which is an increase of 20%. The good news is that the growth in revenues from nights only in June is also very large - 37%.
73 million are the revenues for June for the Bourgas region - only nights, out the other revenue related to tourism.
