Unique artifacts from Sozopol enrich a national exhibition

President Rumen Radev was fascinated by the exquisite objects, including a gold necklace, two exquisite earrings with lion heads from the Hellenistic era of Apollonia Pontica, 6 sheets of funeral laurel wreath and 2 gold buttons from the Middle Ages.

They are just some of the artifacts discovered in Sozopol which participate in the tenth anniversary National archaeological exhibition "Bulgarian Archaeology 2016".

The objects discovered by archaeologists last year during rescue excavations astonished by its elegance and impress with unique and rare fragmentation characteristic of the ancient history of the town.
