Hospital-Bourgas trained 15 people for basic health care for bedridden patients

Hospital-Bourgas trained fourteen women and one man for the main care concerns bedridden patients.

Among them are the technique of straightening and feeding patients, prophylaxis to prevent pressure sores (ulcerations of the skin after prolonged bed rest) and knowledge of the types of diets for different diseases.

The training was conducted under the project "Chance to Work" in which the Hospital-Bourgas and the Confederation are working together for the fourth consecutive year. The project aims to unemployed persons over age 50 to get another chance on the labor market.

The course for acquiring a professional qualification "Care for patients" included a total of 300 hours, in which for practice in different departments of the hospital were separated over 180 hours. Under the expert guidance of the head nurse of the hospital - Tatiana Peicheva, the participants in the project gain experience in the Department of Vascular Surgery, Department of General Surgery, Department of nervous diseases and the Department of Gastroenterology.
