На 25 септември в 13.15 ч на пътя Карнобат - Айтос /в условията на прав участък при спускане/, поради движение с несъобразена с релефа и състоянието на пътя скорост, самостоятелно катастрофира, блъскайки се в крайпътно дърво,
л.а. «Фолксваген Кадди», управляван от 18-годишен карнобатлия, с който се придвижвали и още двама 20-годишни мъже от Карнобат.
От ПТП пострадали: водачът на л.а. «Фолксваген», който с диагноза «политравматизъм», е настанен в отделение «Реанимация» на болница «Сърце и мозък», с опасност за живота, спътника му, пътуващ на предната дясна седалка /настанен за лечение в болница «Дева Мария» - кв. «Ветрен» с травма в гръдния кош, контузия на дясната раменна става и разкъсни рани в областта на лявото коляно, без опасност за живота и втория му, спътник, пътуващ на задната седалка /транспортиран в посока УМБАЛ - Бургас, но починал по пътя вследствие на получените травми/.
